pencil drawing of Harriet Quimby by Mike Aten

HARRIET QUIMBY (1875-1912)©
A pencil drawing by aviation artist,

MIKE ATEN

This is the finest drawing of Harriet I have ever seen and I am pleased to offer signed prints for sale.

I am proud to know Mike Aten as a friend and fellow aviation history enthusiast.  Mike is a talented restoration artist.  He and his partner, Scott Hazel have hand-built the 1902 Wright Glider which is on exhibit at the San Diego Air and Space Museum.  Mike also created life-like mannequins for the display.

Mike is an engineer at Goodrich, and lives in Southern California.  He is co-author and illustrator of “Fokker E.III In Detail” with Achim Engels.

Mike has donated several pencil drawings to archives and museum in Germany and in the USA.  His specialty is female aviators and has drawn Katherine Stinson, Melli Beese, and  others.  He is available for consignment.
